Thruster Disc Brake
Johnson Thruster Disc Brakes are spring-set, 3-phase thruster-released disc brakes, built in all-metric in-line and compact configurations. Fabricated steel mechanism with non-ferrous bushed pivots, ground stainless steel pins, and high-temperature non-asbestos friction linings (sintered metallic linings optional).
Thrusters: Available with Elhy EB (preferred), Eldro ED, or Johnson EJ thrusters, IP56 enclosed.
Options: Self-adjusting mechanism, mechanical release lever, limit switches to monitor release/set/wear, and electronic modulated torque by remote pedal.
Applications: Mechanical handling equipment, cranes, winches, stacker reclaimers, and conveyors.

TBC Series — Compact
TBC brakes are drop-in disc brake replacements for DIN Metric and AISE Imperial drum brakes, matching the same mounting footprint and drum centre height as the equivalent drum brake — for example, a TBC part number referencing a 16” drum brake size will share that unit’s footprint even though the actual disc diameter differs.
