Power Units

Hydraulic, air, and electronic power units for driving Johnson brake systems. Units are configured per application — pump size, motor, control type, and options are selected to match the connected brake(s).

Custom-Configured

Hydraulic Power Units

Custom hydraulic power units for any application, including marine, high-heat, corrosive, explosion-proof, and PLC-controlled environments. Every unit is customized to the customer's application — the naming convention below indicates configuration, not a fixed catalog.

CodeMeaning
HLLow demand unit (depends on number and type of brakes)
HUModerate demand unit (used with TL brakes and when multiple DS brakes are connected to one unit)
SDSolenoid Dump — slow release, quick set control (parking brakes, holding brakes, low usage brakes)
SRSolenoid Release — quick release, quick set
SRDTwo-stage braking — quick release, mechanically controlled set
CLCPLC controlled (by customer or Johnson PLC unit)
MManual control
